Festivals are an essential part of young people's social lives. Around 700 big festivals and up to 10.000 small festivals take part in Europe every year. Millions of people from different age groups participate in those festivals to have fun, learn, socialize, transform and connect with like-minded peers. The covid-19 pandemic affected most festivals and their organizer and participants; now, with the new regulations, more festivals are coming back in the summer of 2022. However, while the festivals' social, educational, and artistic impacts are undeniably diverse and essential, there is also a high negative ecological impact of the big-scale festivals. 

We divide our actions as before, during, and after the festivals! Before the festivals, we contact the organizers and provide them with ecological choices on waste management and the potential benefits of their ecological choices. We gather the volunteers and give training on social ecology. You can read more about our during and post-festival actions belove.
